What began as an idea is now in use: A completed, ongoing pilot project provides reliable data — supported by team building, practical proofs and partnerships with industry and municipalities.
Harald Mayer founds Green Hydrogen Technology.
The innovative airflow reactor is patented and the basic design of the GHT pilot plant is created.

The patent for the innovative technology for producing hydrogen from waste materials is published.

TÜV Süd has tested the production process for processing hydrogen from wood waste. The process therefore meets the requirements for certification.

The first tests on an industrial scale are being carried out in Leoben (Austria).

With RheinEnergie, hylane and ETG, GHT was able to gain strong partners in a first round of financing. Together, the first plant is being built that converts waste into climate-neutral hydrogen and thus initiates the market entry of “hydrogen made in Germany.”

With the topping-out ceremony for our first plant, we have made the future tangible. An idea gave rise to a real location where waste is already being converted into green hydrogen today.
